ABOUT THE SUDBURY
KART CLUB
The Sudbury Kart Club started in 1995 with a group of people
who had the same vision - "To Race Karts!" The Northern
Ontario Racing Series was formed and the club joined the
governing body of Canadian motorsport, ASN Canada FIA.
Our present membership of 32 includes 20 drivers from
the ages of 8 to 40+ and 12 associate members who do not
race, but are involved with the organization of each event.
We presently have 12 members from Timmins, North Bay,
Verner and Blind River and we have had competitors from
Sault St. Marie, Barrie and Rouyn-Noranda. The club is
a non-profit organization, which returns all profit back
into the club's operations for improving the facilities
and rewarding its drivers. The Sudbury Kart Club offers
junior and senior racing classes. Each class is governed
by the Canadian Karting Regulations, a comprehensive set
of regulations provided by the ASN Canada. These regulations
allow the racers in each class to compete at a similar
level.
Competition
kart racing is the fastest growing form of motorsport
in the world. It provides all the fun and excitement of
full scale, high performance racing at a fraction of the
cost. It appeals to people of all ages who want the challenge
of competition at an affordable price.
Safety
at the Sudbury Kart Club is foremost, and the club provides
a driver training school for all new drivers. Members
of the Sudbury Kart Club enjoy an atmosphere of sportsmanship;
friendship and members do not hesitate to help each other
out.
